Contract Counselor or Social Worker
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Contract Counselor/Social Worker is responsible for providing compassionate counseling support services to clients. The Contract Counselor/Social Worker will be expected to establish a trusting, confidential relationship with clients and adhere to all required reporting under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct assessments to identify clients’ needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide counseling and support to individuals, families, or groups.
- Facilitate workshops and support groups to enhance coping skills.
- Collaborate with other professionals and community resources for comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- At least 5 years of experience in counseling (including internship)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to empathize with clients
- Ability to consider internal and external resources to develop a client treatment plan
- Willingness to work with clients who have experienced trauma (shootings/murder etc.)
- Organizational skills
- Basic knowledge regarding trauma informed care
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree
- LPC, LSW, LPCC or LISW
